Mother Daughter Weekend 2024 is planned for September 13-15. Bring your daughter, niece, or granddaughter for a weekend neither of you will ever forget.
Camp Nakanawa
Rentals
This is a perfect setting for your next Reunion, Retreat, Business Meeting or Wedding. Peacefulness and quiet relaxation have been enjoyed by many generations within Camp Nakanawa’s 1000 gently rolling and wooded acres. Take a leisurely ride on Lake Aloaloa in a paddleboat, canoe, kayak or rowboat.
Facilities
Your next meeting could be held in the Wigwam, a long structure built in 1920 with an inviting fireplace and plenty of rocking chairs to enjoy fellowship and Nakanawa sunsets. The Kiosk and Little Theatre are other sites for your meetings or programs. The Dining Hall seats 275 people, where hot meals are served to satisfy hearty appetites after a day of tennis, hiking, volleyball, boating or soccer. Meal plans are available upon request.Â
Cabins
Nestled among the tall pine trees are 33 cabins, with windows that let in the cool breeze off Lake Aloaloa. Cabins are of various sizes, most accommodate 8 to 10 people. Each cabin is a short distance from the Bath House. The Bath House is equipped with lavatories, twenty private toilet stalls and 20 private shower stalls.
Recreation
Fill your day with the many activities available at Camp Nakanawa. Play soccer, softball or volleyball on the Athletic Field. Basketball and indoor volleyball can be played in the Pavillion. Six hard surfaced Tennis Courts are ready for singles or doubles, or try your skill at table tennis and horseshoes. Hiking trails abound throughout the woods and along the lake. Don’t forget your favorite fishing rod because the fishing is great for bass, brea, and crappie.
Reservations
Camp Nakanawa is available for lease during April, May, August and September for groups of fifty or more. A signed Lease with Proof of Insurance is required for each group. Various lease plans are available. Contact us for more information.
